The Littlerock Lobos are taking a road trip to square off against the Apple Valley Sun Devils at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Littlerock is headed out in good spirits considering the team just ended their winless streak on the road against Silver Valley on Friday. Littlerock put the hurt on Silver Valley with a sharp 14-3 win. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Lobos' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Saul Orozco Jr. made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits (and only one walk). Orozco Jr. was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Adan Herrera, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Sebastian Gon?alez was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3.
Littlerock always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .531. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Silver Valley only posted an OBP of .364.
Meanwhile, Apple Valley entered their tilt with Victor Valley on Monday with four consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with five. They came out on top against the Jackrabbits by a score of 10-5. Ten seems to be a good number for the Sun Devils as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.
Oscar Lima looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and only one walk).
At the plate, Seth Robertson was a standout: he got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That home run marked the first that he launched this season. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Reveron, who scored a run and stole Three bases. while going 2-for-3.
Apple Valley's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Littlerock, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 2-4.
Tuesday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Littlerock has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .551. However, it's not like Apple Valley struggles in that department as they've averaged .482. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Littlerock might still be hurting after the 16-1 loss they got from Apple Valley in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can Littlerock avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
