Moorhead (Minn.) 20 points,
Brainerd (Minn.) came back strong to notch a 26-23 win over
Moorhead (Minn.) Saturday.
The Spuds pulled ahead on a rushing touchdown, and subsequently went into halftime leading 20-0. The Warriors took the lead for good with a touchdown run by
Conor Gessell in the fifth quarter.
Despite scoring seven points in the third, Brainerd still trailed by 13 points going into the fourth quarter. But 13 points in the fourth helped BHS pull out the victory.
The defeat comes as a step back for Moorhead, which notched a 35-7 victory over Fergus Falls in its previous outing. The loss snapped Moorhead's two-game winning streak.
Moorhead (4-3) goes up against Bemidji in a Central Lakes game matchup next week, while Brainerd (7-0) locks horns with Grand Rapids also in a Central Lakes game.
