Freeport had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They enjoyed a cozy 31-14 win over Mountain Valley on Friday. That's more bragging rights for Freeport, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Freeport was led to victory by Andrew Thomas and Samuel Willard. Thomas rushed for 119 yards and one TD on only 13 carries, while Willard rushed for 22 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
