The Franklin Learning Center Bobcats had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.7 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. They really took it to Philadelphia Military Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 57-13 victory at home. Franklin Learning Center's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Leading Franklin Learning Center to victory were Janai Richardson and Makiya Brunson. Richardson scored 20 points, while Brunson scored 22 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Richardson has scored at least 25% of Franklin Learning Center's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ameira Thomas, who scored eight points.
Franklin Learning Center pushed their record up to 4-1 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Philadelphia Military Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Franklin Learning Center will square off against First Philadelphia Prep at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. First Philadelphia Prep will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 620th, while Franklin Learning Center is ranked 221st). Philadelphia Military Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Jules E. Mastbaum Vo-Tech at 3:15 p.m. on January 29th.
