Northeastern has been on the road for three straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Red Land Patriots at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Northeastern will be strutting in after a win while Red Land will be coming in after a defeat.
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Northeastern ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged Middletown out 52-49.
Mikayla Coleman was the offensive standout of the game as she scored 16 points. The match was her third in a row with at least ten points. Emma Bush was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Red Land kicked off their season on the road on Saturday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell 43-30 to J.P. McCaskey.
Northeastern pushed their record up to 3-0 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points per game. As for Red Land, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
