The Valley Vikings's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 62-17 loss at the hands of Amador. That's two games in a row now that Valley has lost by exactly 45 points.
Valley's loss came despite strong showings from Jordyn Gibson and Annaliese Hernandez. Gibson scored eight points, while Hernandez scored six points. Hernandez scored a full 35.3% of Valley's points, the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Valley has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season. As for Amador, the win got them back to even at 6-6.
Valley is on the road again on Friday and play against Golden Sierra at 5:30 a.m. on December 15th. Golden Sierra is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak. Amador won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Union Mine at 7:00 p.m. on December 15th. Union Mine will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
