Wake Prep Academy and Martin County squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Wake Prep Academy had to settle for second. They fell 28-20 to the Gators. The Guardians' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Although Wake Prep Academy took the loss, they still got scores from Myles Petersen, Austin Battle, and Kato Muhammad.

Martin County was led to victory by Jordan Matthewson and Jah Sheppard. Matthewson rushed for 80 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only ten carries, while Sheppard rushed for 92 yards and one score.

Wake Prep Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Martin County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Wake Prep Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Martin County, they will challenge Farmville Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Jaguars will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.
