The Augusta E Eagles are taking a road trip to face off against the Heathwood Hall Episcopal Highlanders at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Augusta E is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.
Augusta E barely beat Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Augusta E blew past Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics 10-3 on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Bryar Rhoden and Jaiden Jacobsen were a major factor no matter where they played. On the mound, Rhoden tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Jacobsen didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since March 1st. At bat, Rhoden scored a run while going 2-for-4, while Jacobsen scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Jacobsen has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times he's played.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sean Gerdes, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathanael Reese, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.
Augusta E kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Heathwood Hall Episcopal was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Northside Christian Academy, falling 14-4. One positive for the Highlanders, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.
Augusta E's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Heathwood Hall Episcopal, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
Augusta E couldn't quite get it done against Heathwood Hall Episcopal in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 7-3. Can Augusta E avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
