After flying high against York Country Day last Friday, the Lititz Christian Eagles came back down to earth. Lititz Christian took a 53-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Varsity Opponent on Monday. Lititz Christian was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Varsity Opponent apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
Lititz Christian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Afton Urquhart, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. Urquhart has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last four times she's played. Emma Christner was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.
Lititz Christian has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season. As for Varsity Opponent, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 129-447.
Lititz Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 53-44 loss vs. Dayspring Christian Academy on the 8th. Varsity Opponent has also already played their next match, a 61-33 loss against Brookside on the 5th.
