It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Rancho Dominguez Lobos had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They took down the Tigers 43-27. The win was a breath of fresh air for Rancho Dominguez as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Rancho Dominguez found their leader in underclassman Audrey Baker, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and 15 rebounds. That makes it 20 consecutive games in which Baker has scored at least a third of Rancho Dominguez's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mikea'lynn Bailey, who scored four points along with nine rebounds and two blocks.
Rancho Dominguez's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-14. As for Camino Nuevo Dalzell Lance Campus, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season.
Rancho Dominguez will be playing in front of their home fans against Grant at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Camino Nuevo Dalzell Lance Campus does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
