The Meyersdale Red Raiders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Berlin Brothersvalley on the road and fell 53-18. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Meyersdale has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Meyersdale still got an impressive performance from Laurel Daniels, who scored four points along with two steals.
Meyersdale's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-10. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 25.6 points per game. As for Berlin Brothersvalley, their win bumped their record up to 12-4.
Meyersdale will head out on the road to face off against Southern Fulton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Berlin Brothersvalley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mountain Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mountain Ridge presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Berlin Brothersvalley in their respective states (Mountain Ridge is ranked 37th in Maryland, while Berlin Brothersvalley is ranked 145th in Pennsylvania).
