Susquehanna Township put the finishing touches on their ninth blowout victory of the season on Saturday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 54-20 victory over Exeter Township. With Susquehanna Township ahead 30-8 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Susquehanna Township's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aaliyah Barnes, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Barnes has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Schuyler Coles, who scored 14 points.
Meanwhile, Trinity came up short against the Fighting Irish back in January and fell 58-45. Trinity has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Susquehanna Township's victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-1. As for Trinity, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.
Everything came up roses for Susquehanna Township against the Shamrocks when the teams last played back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 61-24 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Susquehanna Township since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
