Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Metter). They were the clear victors by a 15-5 margin over the McIntosh County Academy Buccaneers on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Buccaneers: they've now won seven in a row.

The victory got Metter back to even at 3-3. As for McIntosh County Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Metter will square off against Jenkins County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for McIntosh County Academy, they will challenge Montgomery County at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16 runs per game on average), something the Buccaneers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
