Given Oaks Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 483rd, while the Chargers are ranked 985th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Oaks Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Andrea Woodward led the charge by scoring seven points along with 11 rebounds and seven steals. Woodward hasn't dropped below nine rebounds for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklyn Shamblin, who scored seven points.
Oaks Christian's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-16. As for Agoura, they dropped their record down to 1-24 with that defeat, which was their tenth straight at home.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oaks Christian will take on the Coyotes at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Calabasas has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 240 points over their last four matchups. As for Agoura, they will be playing at home against the Lancers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
