On the mound, Jarvis struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Meanwhile, Wharton pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. That's the most strikeouts Jarvis has posted since back in March. At bat, Jarvis went 2-for-4 with two triples, three runs, and three RBI, while Wharton went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.
In other batting news, Shane Vasquez was excellent, going 3-for-4 with three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Brody Reeves was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs and one stolen base.
