Rece Hoyt Dazzles in Lone Star Victory
Rece Hoyt's big game helped extend Lone Star's winning streak to seven on Friday. Nobody could stop Hoyt as he rushed for 80 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries, and also threw for 156 yards and a touchdown while completing 86.4% of his passes.
Lone Star pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Hoyt and Lone Star will take on Wakeland at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Centennial came up short on Thursday despite Adam Schmid delivering his best game to date. Schmid threw for 253 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 95 yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 50 yards.
Centennial is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5. Schmid and Centennial will venture away from home to challenge McKinney North at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Hudson Eidem Sets Career High in Rushing Yards
Lebanon Trail came up short on Friday despite Hudson Eidem delivering his best game to date. Eidem rushed for 149 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.3 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. Lebanon Trail is 2-1 when Eidem posts 80 or more rushing yards, but 1-3 otherwise.

On the season, Hooper has averaged 63.6 receiving yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 35.57 receiving yards per game.
