Strathmore had lost three straight on the road, but on Thursday they dropped down to 9-17 to make it four. They came up short against the Granite Hills Grizzlies, falling 13-7. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Jackson Garfield made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Strathmore's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 5-1 (and 4-16 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Dominic Rice, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
As for Granite Hills, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-13-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games.
On Granite Hills' side, Nate Medina made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. Medina was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Reginaldo Ramos, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Gabriel Bermudez was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
As of now, neither Strathmore nor Granite Hills have any future games scheduled.
