Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sierra). They blew past the Mountain House Mustangs 13-3 on Friday. The Timberwolves not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since March 31st (when they won 11-1).
Collins Schluer made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits (and only one walk). Schluer was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. What's more, he posted two hits, the most he's had since back in February.
In other batting news, Sierra let Rudy Barney and Ryan Reyes run wild. Barney went 3-for-4 with four RBI and one run, while Reyes went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those four RBI gave Barney a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Wyatt Bauer, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.

Sierra and Mountain House could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Timberwolves (ranked 623rd) will meet Central Catholic (ranked 109th) at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Mountain House will take on Patterson at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (666 vs. 231).
