Ethen Knox of
Oil City (Pa.) is high school football's national leader in rushing yardage with 3,352, according to statistics submitted to MaxPreps. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound junior has made waves after running for 400 yards six times this season.
Knox just missed a seventh 400-yard performance last week in a 30-14 win over Titusville, settling for 395 yards and four touchdowns on 43 carries. He ran for a season-high 445 yards and five scores on 44 carries in early September.
Sitting 513 yards behind Knox is
Clarksville (Ind.) senior
Robert Lamar, who now has 2,839 yards on the year. Lamar ran for 432 yards and eight touchdowns on 31 carries in a 70-42 win over Eastern last weekend. Head coach Justin Boser's star back now has gone over 400 yards rushing on back-to-back weekends and has reached 200 yards rushing in all 10 outings.
Cayden Walton of
Raton (N.M.) has run for 2,472 yards this fall and stands in at No. 3 after gaining 72 yards and a score on 23 carries in a 12-7 loss to Robertson last weekend.
