The Jackson Jaguars had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They walked away with a  58-46  win over Newton. Winning is a bit easier when  you  drain five more threes than your opponent, as Jackson did.
  Taliah Cornish was the offensive standout of the  game as she  scored 16 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which  she has scored at least 25% of Jackson's points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Cayden Cornish, who  scored 11 points.
 Despite the loss, Newton still got an impressive performance from   Tania Bailey, who  scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was  Jazmin Flournoy, who  scored 4 points along with 5  rebounds.
 Jackson's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Newton, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.
 Jackson will have some time to savor their  win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Villa Rica at 6:00  p.m.  on December 5th. Newton will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Milton at 2:30  p.m.  on December 9th.
