In what's become a running theme this season, the Sayre Sabres gave their fans yet another huge win on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 45-20 margin over KIPP DuBois Collegiate Academy. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Sayre had established a 24 point advantage.
Sayre's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brionn Veal-Coston, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which Veal-Coston has scored at least a third of Sayre's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mischa Ferguson-Bell, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten steals.
Sayre's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for KIPP DuBois Collegiate Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
Sayre will head out on the road to face off against String Theory at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Both teams have allowed few points on average, (String Theory: 27.8, Sayre: 21.2) so any points scored will be well earned. As for KIPP DuBois Collegiate Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Parkway West at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Parkway West will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
