Given Georgetown Day's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked first in District of Columbia, while Fairview is ranked 115th in Pennsylvania), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Georgetown Day's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cai Roberson, who scored 16 points. Nevaeh Roberson was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Georgetown Day's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Fairview, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Georgetown Day will take on Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. Fairview will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cathedral Prep at 7:30 p.m. on December 21st.
