Otto-Eldred is 9-1 against Cameron County since December of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Otto-Eldred Terrors will look to defend their home court against the Cameron County Raiders at 7:00 p.m. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Otto-Eldred didn't have too much trouble with Oswayo Valley at home as they won 32-18. That's two games straight that Otto-Eldred has won by exactly 14 points.
Otto-Eldred got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ayla Van Scoter out in front who scored ten points along with nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Carrie Drummond, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Cameron County had to endure a seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They breezed by Galeton at home to the tune of 58-12. Cameron County's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Cameron County's win on Wednesday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Elsie Bresslin, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and five steals. Another player making a difference was Cloe Farren, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds.
Otto-Eldred is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for Cameron County, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-10.
Tuesday's matchup is shaping up to be a scrappy contest: Otto-Eldred have been smashing the glass this season, having only averaged 29.6 rebounds per game. It's a different story for Cameron County, though, as they've been averaging only 30.4 rebounds per game. Given Otto-Eldred's sizeable advantage in that area, Cameron County will need to find a way to close that gap.
