The Menlo School Knights had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They took down Sacred Heart Prep 47-33. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Menlo School also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2022.
Menlo School was led to victory by Arthi Abhyanker and Ruiqi Liu. Abhyanker scored 15 points along with 6 rebounds, while Liu dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Liu has scored at least 25% of Menlo School's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Karen Xin, who scored 11 points along with 4 steals.
Menlo School's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Sacred Heart Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Menlo School's road trip will continue as they head out to face Pinewood at 7:30 p.m. on December 1st. Hopefully Pinewood focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Thursday. As for Sacred Heart Prep, they will head out on the road to face off against Fremont at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
