As a matter of fact, that's the most points Burks has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Vanessa Wimberly, who scored eight points along with five assists and five steals.
Gary West Side has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-18 record this season. As for Lake Central, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 22-4.
