It was another big night for Audrey Tijerina, who scored 18 points for La Quinta. That makes it five consecutive games in which Tijerina has scored at least a third of La Quinta's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jazmin Vieyra, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds.
Rancho Mirage dropped their record down to 0-20 with that defeat, which was their tenth straight at home. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 16.0 points per game. As for La Quinta, they now have a winning record of 13-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rancho Mirage will face off against the Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Shadow Hills will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak. As for La Quinta, they will head out on the road to challenge the Saints at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Xavier Prep presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Blackhawks in California (the Saints are ranked 249th, while the Blackhawks are ranked 706th).
