Lambert had won four straight on the road, but on Tuesday they bumped up to 12-13 to make it five. They walked away with a 5-2 win over the West Forsyth Wolverines. That's two games straight that the Longhorns have won by exactly three runs.

As for West Forsyth, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-14. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by exactly three runs.

For West Forsyth's part, Micah Hardenbrook spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, West Forsyth saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Maurer, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Lambert will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Wolverines: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
