After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Aptos, the Soquel Knights were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They skirted past Harbor 2-1. That's another feather in the cap for Soquel, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Trinity Wilson and
Julia Inkles, who scored both of Soquel's goals. The pair have combined for a total of 14 so far this season.
Soquel is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6-1 record this season. As for Harbor, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5-2.
Soquel will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against Scotts Valley at 6:00 p.m. As for Harbor, they will head out on the road to challenge Aptos at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Harbor's last four matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
