The Holy Redeemer Royals gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 66-51 victory over Jersey Shore.
Holy Redeemer's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bella Boylan, who scored 9 points along with 12 rebounds and 5 steals. Another player making a difference was Megan Albrecht, who scored 15 points along with 3 steals.
Despite the loss, Jersey Shore still got an impressive performance from Peyton Dincher, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 11 rebounds. Caitlyn Schall was another key contributor, scoring 9 points.
Holy Redeemer's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Jersey Shore, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Holy Redeemer won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Bloomsburg at 6:00 p.m. on December 2nd. As for Jersey Shore, they will head out on the road to face off against Selinsgrove at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Selinsgrove focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 32 on Friday.
