Vacaville is 2-8 against the Mustangs since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Vacaville Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Rodriguez Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
After soaring to 58 points the game before, Vacaville were a bit more limited in their match on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 79-20 loss at the hands of Vanden. While losing is never fun, Vacaville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 804th, while the Vikings are ranked 77th).
Meanwhile, Rodriguez's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell just short of Fairfield by a score of 38-36.
Vacaville's loss dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Rodriguez, they dropped their record down to 7-19 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Vacaville didn't have too much breathing room in their game against the Mustangs when the teams last played last Wednesday, but they still walked away with a 56-52 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Vacaville since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
