The Woodside Wildcats will challenge the More Knights at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Woodside is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.
The home team had come away the winner the last four times Woodside and South San Francisco had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Wildcats had just enough and edged out the Warriors 4-3. The win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won six in a row.

Carter Ball spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on six hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Woodside is 5-2 when he allows at most one earned run, but 7-8 otherwise.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Mateus Mokhtarani, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Colby Fernandez, who went 2-for-3 with one run.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for More, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They never let KIPP San Jose Collegiate get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory on Tuesday. Considering the Knights have won 11 contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Pierce Detar made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Detar was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That stolen base marked the first that he has snagged this season.
More was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .600. The last time their batting average was this high was back in May of 2025.
Woodside's win bumped their record up to 12-10. As for More, the victory got them back to even at 11-11.
Woodside skirted past More 5-4 in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Knights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
