The Justin-Siena Braves are taking a road trip to face off against the Rancho Cotate Cougars at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Justin-Siena is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.4 runs per game this season.
Justin-Siena took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They never let Salesian College Preparatory get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. The Braves haven't had any issues with the Pride recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Henry Meyers made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Meyers was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February of 2024.
In other batting news, Jake Fletcher was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Noah Giovannelli, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
Justin-Siena always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .559. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Salesian College Preparatory only posted an OBP of .409.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Rancho Cotate faced off against Analy on Monday. Rancho Cotate walked away with a 3-0 win over Analy. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cougars.
Rancho Cotate saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jett Derammelaere, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. That run marked the first that Derammelaere scored this season.
Justin-Siena's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Rancho Cotate, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Justin-Siena's speedy runners might be the difference in Wednesday's game. Justin-Siena has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 6 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Rancho Cotate, though, as they've been averaging only 1.2 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Justin-Siena continue to outrun the ball?
