Denfeld had a rough outing against Hermantown last Friday, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. Denfeld walked away with a 19-6 win over Duluth East. Duluth East can consider this payback for the 0-26 loss they dealt Denfeld the last time the teams encountered one another.
After a totally unproductive first quarter, the Denfeld offense stepped up its game and put 13 points on the board in the second quarter. Duluth East put up 6, so the score was 13-6 at the half. The other side of the ball continued to do well for Denfeld in the second half and held Duluth East to 0 points. The win got Denfeld back to even at 2-2. The defeat dropped Duluth East's record to 3-2.
Next week Denfeld take on Proctor at 7:00 PM. Proctor took a loss in their last matchup and are no doubt out to reverse Denfeld's good fortune. As for Duluth East, they will face off against Hermantown.
