Sharpsville has been on the road for two straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Wilmington Greyhounds at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Sharpsville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 411th, while Wilmington is ranked 148th).
Sharpsville pushed their score all the way to 55 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Sharon 60-55.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Lily Palko, who scored 26 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Macie Steiner, who scored 19 points.
Meanwhile, Wilmington stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Monday. They blew past Greenville 51-21 on the road. The win was nothing new for Wilmington as they're now sitting on four straight.
Sharpsville now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Wilmington, they pushed their record up to 12-4 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.
