Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Carl Albert). They blew past the Guthrie Bluejays 14-4 on Tuesday. Considering the Titans have won five matches by more than six  runs this season, Tuesday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Madison Ethridge made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She  tossed five innings while giving up just two earned  (and two unearned) runs off   five  hits. Ethridge was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-4 with two  RBI and one  run. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in August.
 In other batting news, Carl Albert let  Kinsley Flynn and  Addalyn Smith run wild. Flynn  went 3-for-4 with four  RBI and one  run, while  Smith  got on base  in three of her four plate appearances with three  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI. Those  four  RBI gave  Flynn a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Avery McNair, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with two  runs and one  RBI.
 Carl Albert  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 11  hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Guthrie only managed six  hits.
The  win (which was Carl Albert's fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-5. Those  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Guthrie, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.
 Looking ahead, Carl Albert will welcome Edmond Santa Fe  at 1:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Guthrie, they will square off against Santa Fe South at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The Saints have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.14  runs per game on average), something the Bluejays will no doubt try to take advantage of.
