It was a good run, but the Camarillo Scorpions unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 61-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of Oak Park. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Camarillo in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost four in a row.
Camarillo's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emerson Martin, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Martin has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Christa Contreras, who scored 14 points along with six assists and five rebounds.
Camarillo's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-7. As for Oak Park, the victory was the 15th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-7.
Camarillo does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Oak Park also has no future games currently scheduled.
