The El Camino Wildcats suffered their biggest loss since December 14, 2023 on Friday. They were dealt a 67-31 loss at the hands of Rancho Buena Vista. El Camino was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-15.
El Camino's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Alana Hoskins, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and two steals, and Aleigha Tatum who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds. Hoskins hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games.
El Camino's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Rancho Buena Vista, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-10 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. El Camino's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Mission Vista at 5:30 p.m. on January 16th. Mission Vista has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Rancho Buena Vista, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Canyon Crest Academy at 5:30 p.m.
