If the Scotts Valley Falcons were riding high  off their  46-22 takedown of the Marina Mariners on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Scotts Valley took a  48-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wilcox on Tuesday. Scotts Valley lost against Wilcox in their previous head to head  back in December of 2021, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the  49-47 score last time.
  Abigail Shi and  Amelia Vye certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss.  Shi  scored 10 points, while  Vye  scored 9 points.  Amaya Guerra was another key contributor,  scoring 6 points.
 Scotts Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Wilcox,  the  victory  got them back to even at 2-2.
 Scotts Valley will be staying on the road  on Thursday to face off against King's Academy at 6:00  p.m.  on December 7th. King's Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Scotts Valley in California (King's Academy is ranked 420th, while Scotts Valley is ranked 858th). As for Wilcox, they will take on Leland at 3:00  p.m.  on Saturday.
