USC commit Saniyah Hall earns MVP honors, leads East to 91-71 McDonald's All American win

Spire Academy guard drops 21 points as East pulls away in fourth quarter.

With the NCAA Women's Final Four set to tip-off in Phoenix this weekend, the game's future stars took to the Desert Diamond Arena court in Glendale, Ariz., on Tuesday in the 25th edition of the McDonald's All American Game. The East took a 91-71 victory home, led by 21 points from Saniyah Hall of SPIRE Academy National (Geneva, Ohio).

The top-rated player in the class of 2026 had 13 in the first half and helped the East cement its victory as the USC commit had four in the third and fourth quarters. Hall is the third top-rated commit heading to USC in the last four years joining Juju Waktins of Sierra Canyon (Chatsworth, Calif.) and Jazzy Davidson of Clackamas (Ore.).

Perhaps the gutsiest performance of the night came from North Carolina commit Kate Harpring of Marist (Atlanta, Ga.), who injured her shoulder in the second quarter, only to return and from nine of her 14 points in the second half. 

Maryland commit Jordyn Jackson of the The St. James Performance Academy (Springfield, Va.) had 12 point for the East as LSU commit Lola Lampley of Lawrence Central (Indianapolis, Ind.) added 10.

Texas commit Brihanna Crittendon of Riverdale Ridge (Thornton, Colo.) and Texas commit Aaliah Spaight of Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas, Nev.) each had 11 points to lead the West. Clemson pledge Trinity Jones of Naperville Central (Naperville, Ill.) had 10 points while Notre Dame commit Jacy Abii of Legion Preparatory Academy (Dallas, Texas) added nine. Tennessee commit Oliviyah Edwards of Lincoln (Tacoma, Wash.) scored eight points.

The East jumped out to a quick 9-6 lead on a Hall 3-pointer before Abii ended the first quarter with a triple of her own and a 20-15 West advantage. The West opened  37-28 lead before the East reeled off an 8-0 run to cut the lead to 37-36 before Trinity Jones' 3-pointer helped the West to a 40-39 halftime advantage.

The East then broke the game open in the fourth quarter, taking their 59-56 lead and using a 7-0 run to create separation before extending it to 76-63 with 4:30 remaining. They then closed the game on a 15-8 run for the 20-point victory.
