Each year since 2006, MaxPreps has recognized outstanding performers in prep basketball. America's source for high school sports continues the tradition to close out the 2025-26 season by naming the top player in each state. Selections are based on team success and individual excellence, in addition to local and state accolades.
Each state's MaxPreps Player of the Year will be considered for inclusion in the MaxPreps All-America Team, which is scheduled to be released in April. Read on for a look at the postseason honors schedule and POY selections in all 50 states.

6-2 | Guard | Class of 2026A year after an ACL injury took away her junior season, the Clemson signee balled out for the Redhawks (26-7). Jones posted 28.5 points, 8.2 rebounds, 2.8 steals and 2.3 assists per game.

5-11 | Guard | Class of 2026The nationally-ranked Trojans (29-0) won the Class 4A title behind the Davidson signee. She averaged 25.5 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.7
steals per game as Center Grove became the first unbeaten state champion since 2013.
