Chelsey Smith scored 45 points to lead Pineville (Ky.) to a 79-63 victory over Model (Richmond, Ky.).
* Atlantic (Port Orange, Fla.) sophomore
Ronni Williams had 45 points, 19 rebounds, five steals, four blocks and four assists during a 66-65 double-overtime victory against Apopka (Fla.).
* Senior guard
Jude Schimmel turned in a triple-double (30 points, 13 rebounds and 12 steals) as Franklin (Portland, Ore.) defeated Cleveland (Portland, Ore.), 56-44.
* Sophomore
Gigi Bailey had 36 points, 14 rebounds and 10 blocks to lead Charlotte Christian (N.C.) to a 70-49 victory against Country Day (Charlotte, N.C.).
* North Carolina State recruit
Erica Donovan had 41 points and 18 rebounds as Jay (San Antonio) edged Stevens (San Antonio) 78-71 in overtime.
Alexis Govan, a Western Kentucky recruit, notched 38 in a losing effort. Both players wear uniform number 21.

Jordan Johnson had 40 points and 11 rebounds to spark Hatton (Town Creek, Ala.) to a 70-49 victory over Lawrence County (Moulton, Ala.).

Riverdale (Murfreesboro, Tenn.) overcame a 17-point deficit to nip Central (Memphis, Tenn.), 74-72, in overtime for its 47th consecutive victory.

Tempe Prep (Ariz.) snapped a 48-game winning streak with a 50-48 victory over Valley Christian (Chandler, Ariz.). Tempe Prep, which has four players who are at least 6 feet tall, tied the game on a 3-pointer by senior captain
Elizabeth Lebeau with 12 seconds left, then won it on a buzzer-beater by 6-2 junior
Janel Brinkman. It marked only the seventh loss in four years for the defending Class 2A state champs.
