Although three starters are gone, the Magicians return a strong group of contributors from last year's championship run, including 6-foot-4 center
Braydon Lund and guard
Benjamin Bolinske. The team's only loss last year was to Century, but Minot avenged that loss with a 61-59 win in the Class A state championship game.

Century handed Minot its only loss of the season last year and finished tied with Minot at 15-1 in the Western Dakota Conference. The Patriots return one of the state's top players in
Dalton Feeney, a 6-foot-3 forward who averaged 15.9 points per game and earned all-state first team honors. Top rebounders
Luke Leingang (6-5) and
Adam Geiger (6-4) also return.

Red River should be the top team in the Eastern Dakota Conference, as nearly every starter returns. Top returning scorers include
Mark Toe (5-10),
Austin Slaughter (6-5),
Braedan Hanson (6-7) and
Tanner Soleim (6-4). Red River will miss Shayden Keplin, who was among the conference leaders in points and rebounds and led the conference in assists.

The Blue Jays finished near the middle of the Western Dakota Conference last year, but they return nearly every player from that team, including all-state second team selection
Noah Wanzek. Wanzek led the team in scoring last year with 16 points per game.
Tanner Lunzman (8 ppg) and
Logan Anderson (7 ppg) also return.

The Mustangs return one of the top players from the Eastern Dakota Conference last year in
Eric Ringdahl. He averaged 17.9 points and 8 rebounds per game last year while leading a young Sheyenne team that has only been in existence for a few seasons. Ringdahl was also second team all-state as a junior.
