Eddie Vanderdoes, DL, Placer (Auburn), 6-3, 304, Sr.Vanderdoes
saw double teams all year but was still a major force for the Pioneer
Valley champs. The Top 100 national recruit finished the season with 72
tackles and nine sacks for an 11-1 team. Vanderdoes was the Defensive
MVP in the
Pioneer Valley League.
Quincy Capel, DL, Folsom, 5-11, 225, Sr.Capel had 100 total tackles and 10 sacks this season. He was Lineman of the Year in the Delta River League and was named to the
Sacramento Bee All-Metro team.
Beau Hershberger, DL, Granite Bay, 6-2. 230. Sr.Hershberger was named to the
Sacramento Bee All-Metro team and the
Sierra Foothill League's Linemen of the Year. The senior was a rock for the D1 California State Bowl champions.

Nikk Ryan, DL, Oakdale, 6-0, 210, Sr.The defensive end led Oakdale to is fifth consecutive league title. The
All-District Defensive MVP also rushed for 1,153 yards and 20 TDs.
Tanner Vallejo, LB, Nevada Union (Grass Valley), 6-3, 215, Sr.The Boise State commit was named to the
Sacramento Bee All-Metro team and the
Sierra Foothill League's Defensive Player of the Year. Vallejo finished with 129 total tackles.
Jeff Camilli, LB, Ponderosa (Shingle Springs), 6-4, 235, Sr.The Fresno State commit was
Co-Defensive MVP in the Delta River League after posting 123 tackles. The senior also scored eight rushing touchdowns.
Cameron Smith, LB, Granite Bay, 6-3, 220, So.The sophomore averaged 12.3 tackles per game for the state champions. He also had 3.5 sacks and four interceptions.
Joey Banks, LB, Franklin (Elk Grove), 5-9, 185, Jr.Led the 12-1 Wildcats with 135 tackles as a second-year starter. He also had six sacks and was named to the
Sacramento Bee All-Metro team.
Tyler Swortfiguer, LB, Ripon, 6-1, 200, Sr.The Trans Valley Outstanding Defensive Player of the Year had 65 solo tackles and 118 total. He was named a
First Team All-District player.
Na'im Mcgee, DB, St. Mary's (Stockton), 6-0, 185, Sr.McGee had 114 tackles, 72 solo for a team that won its sixth consecutive conference title. He was named
the
Stockton Record Defensive Player of the Year.

Isaiah Pineiro, DB, Placer (Auburn), 6-5, Sr.Pineiro was second in the section with nine interceptions for the Hillmen. He was named to the Pioneer Valley All-League team and to the Sacramento Bee All-Metro team.
Joey Abbate, DB, Central Catholic (Modesto), 5-7, 155, Sr.Abbate led the state with 11 interceptions. He had six of those picks during the postseason, including two in the state finals.
Joe Marquez, DB, Buhach Colony (Atwater), 6-0, 180, Sr.The senior did it all for the Thunder this season. He had eight interceptions, 75 total tackles, threw for 936 yards, and rushed for another 428. He was named the
Central California Conference MVP.
Chris Seisay, ATH, American Canyon, 6-2, 185, Sr.The Oregon
commit had 608 yards receiving and 11 touchdowns, made 92 tackles from
his defensive back post and had 1,077 yards of punt returns.
Jacob Sipes, P, Oak Ridge (El Dorado Hills), 6-4, 175, Jr.Sipes led the section with an average of 45.60 yards per punt. He also pinned opponents inside the 20-yard line 10 times.
