The Lions (22-0) used five total touchdowns from sophomore quarterback
Kate Meier and a pick-six from
Abby VanderWeerd to preserve the nation's longest active winning streak, which dates back to the start of last year's 28-0 CIF section championship campaign.
Meier ran in touchdowns of one and eight yards, respectively, that bookended touchdown tosses to
Stella Day and
Avery Olson in the first half. VanderWeerd took home a 26-yard interception return for a score that gave JSerra a 33-6 halftime lead.
Meier's third touchdown pass of the day came in the fourth quarter, hitting
Dylan Sakayan for a 29-yard score to mark the fifth time the Lions have reached the 40-point mark in a game this season.

Few streaks have lasted longer than the one JSerra is currently riding. Earlier this season,
Central (Phenix City, Ala.) had a 62-game win streak snapped by
Merced (Calif.) at the inaugural MaxPreps Flag Football Showdown.
Southeast Bulloch (Brooklet, Ga.), a four-time Georgia state champion, won its first 77 games in program history from 2021-24.
In winning the Flag Football Showdown in September, JSerra didn't allow a single point over its first three games of the tournament and finally surrendered a touchdown to
Newport Harbor (Newport Beach) in the championship game.
From JSerra's 50 straight wins, 20 have come by shutting out their opponent and another 16 have come when allowing less than 10 points.
The Lions wrap up their regular season slate with a home game against reigning Arizona state champion
Campo Verde (Gilbert, Ariz.) on Friday and a road game at No. 3 Orange Lutheran on Oct. 14.
