Before American Idol and Wheel of Fortune, Ryan Seacrest was a high school football player at
Dunwoody (Ga.).
Now Seacrest Stadium will officially open in 2027 after the school, with the help of a $1 million donation from Seacrest, reached its $1.5 million fundraising goal.
The funds will go toward upping the seating capacity to 2,000 while adding a press box, new bathrooms and a concession stand. The school added turf to the field in 2000.

The renovations make Dunwoody the first DeKalb County school to have its own home stadium. They currently play at North DeKalb Stadium, which they share with
Chamblee.
"Through all of life's adventures, Dunwoody continues to be home for me and my family," Seacrest said in a statement to
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution last year. "It's a place with so many special memories and a rich community that has given us so much. It is a true honor to know generations of Wildcats will get to enjoy this space and experience some of the magic that makes our city one that keeps us coming back."
The Wildcats are 5-1 this season with their next game Oct. 16 vs.
Shiloh (Snellville). Renovations on campus are set to begin in November with the goal of being ready for the the 2027 season.
