The nation's top two players waited all the way until the Jordan Brand Classic in New York to announce their schools in a made for TV special. Noel reclassified from 2013 to 2012 and picked the Wildcats. He averaged 10.5 points, 9.5 rebounds and 4.4 blocks in his 24 games for Kentucky before an ACL tear of his left knee ended his season early. He still declared for the 2013 draft and is considered a sure lottery pick. Muhammad averaged 17.9 points and 5.2 rebounds in his freshman season at UCLA and was named first-team All-Pac-12. He also declared for the NBA Draft after just one season.
