On Tuesday of this week the 6-foot-5, 260-pound senior – who is ranked No. 77 in the nation by CBS/MaxPreps analyst Tom Lemming – had switched from Notre Dame to Georgia Tech.
The Fighting Irish immediately brought out the heavy artillery with head coach Brian Kelly and three assistant coaches who specialize on defense all visiting Tuitt on Wednesday night.
When the smoke cleared, he had decided he really did want at play for Notre Dame and his mother, Tamara Tuitt, put a big exclamation mark on the process when she told the Tribune, "He is done with recruiting. We'll sign on the 2nd (of February)."
