Millogo is averaging 27.2 points, 13.7 rebounds, 5.6 blocked
shots and 3.6 assists per game while shooting 68 percent from the field,
38 percent from 3-point range and 77 percent from the free throw line. His efforts have led St. Francis to a 20-5 record after the Golden Knights went 16-13 in 2024-25 prior to his arrival.
Currently regarded as the No. 84 overall prospect in
the Class of 2027 according to On3, Millogo is due
for a major bump in the rankings according to St. Francis head coach Todd Wolfson.
"I may be biased, but I think he is the best player in his class in the
country," Wolfson said. "I have been a high school basketball coach for 19 years and the
way he affects the game on both the offensive and defensive side of the
ball is like no-one I've seen.

"A lot of guys can score, a lot of guys
can shoot threes. I mean how he protects the rim and how he rebounds,
how he can score in the post, how he can shoot the three, how he can
take guys off the dribble. He brings the ball up. Not many guys at 7-4
are doing that. His ceiling is however high he wants it to be."
Millogo is putting up incredible numbers against a tough schedule just one year removed from tearing his ACL and missing his sophomore season at Cambridge Arts, Technology and Science Academy (Braintree, Mass.).
Still a relative newcomer to the hardwood after picking up the sport in seventh grade, Millogo was focused on soccer as a child.
"He watched videos of Kevin Durant playing basketball and would stop the video
to mimic his form," Wolfson said. "And that's how he learned how to shoot. He would
watch his videos, watch what he would do with his fingers and his elbows
and how he would hold the ball and then he would go in the town and
grab a ball to practice shooting."
Millogo has caught on quick, flirting with a quadruple-double multiple times
this season.
He piled up 27 points, 18 rebounds, nine blocks and seven
assists in a 68-54 triumph against La Salle (Pasadena) on Dec. 12 and posted 34
points, 22 rebounds, eight assists and eight blocked shots in a 77-68
win over Servite (Anaheim) on Jan. 3.

Regarded as a borderline top 100 prospect at the moment, St. Francis head coach Todd Wolfson believes Cherif Millogo's ceiling is much higher. (FILE PHOTO: Rene Morales)
His versatility also extends off the court as he is fluent in four different languages (English, French and a pair of African dialects) and also performs well in the classroom.
So how did the Golden Knights land the Burkina Faso native who spent his sophomore campaign on the East Coast? Through a connection with his guardian Luc Richard Mbah a Moute and a willingness to be the center of attention on the court.
"He wanted to be on a team where it wasn't 18 superstars and he can really learn how to play," Wolfson said. "I think a lot kids go to schools where they can be one of 20 guys but he has to do everything and that is something that we have him do here."
Wolfson says tickets are going fast to see the budding star live.
"We're selling out games here," Wolfson said. "We sold out a game the other day in 31 minutes. Five-hundred tickets in 31 minutes. We sold out our game tonight in about an hour and 10 minutes. There is a line of 250 middle school kids waiting for us to get out of the locker room every game we go to. It's crazy. People want pictures with him."
