Prospect Report Card
High school record/path: Rose into the national spotlight during his sophomore season when he led Cass Tech to its first Division 1 state championship with a record of 27-1. Led IMG Academy to a record of 41-17 during his final two seasons.
Stats/accomplishments: Averaged more than 20 points and five assists in three straight seasons. Acuff earned MaxPreps Michigan Player of the Year honors as a sophomore before leading Nike EYBL Scholastic in scoring during his junior and senior years to earn MaxPreps All-America honors each season.
Outstanding achievement: Earned MVP honors at the Iverson Classic after posting game-highs of 32 points and 11 assists in a 164-151 victory for Team Loyalty. Acuff also earned co-MVP at the City of Palms Classic during his senior year after averaging over 30 points per game at the event.
Needs work: With little experience playing off the ball during his career, how will Acuff operate if he is not the focal point in an offensive system at the next level? His size also could be an obstacle to overcome against NBA size.
Best fit/likely landing spot: Projected to be selected in the No. 5 to No. 7 range, the best case-scenario for Acuff's development would likely be the Brooklyn Nets at No. 6 where he is able to be a primary ball-handler and control the offense alongside breakout wing Michael Porter Jr.
