Centennial (Corona, Calif.) 43-36. The Monarchs trailed 28-0 at the end of the first quarter but came back to take the lead after a 29-point third quarter only to see it slip away.

The last time these teams met in Las Vegas was 2022 when Bishop Gorman led 21-14 after three quarters before Mater Dei scored 10 unanswered points for the win. Neither team lost again the rest of the season and the Monarchs were crowned national champions.

Corner Canyon (Draper, Utah) in a matchup between the top two teams in Utah. Corner Canyon has breezed through all five opponents so far while four-star quarterback
Helaman Casuga has played nearly perfect. Lone Peak's (4-1) only blemish came against Bishop Gorman 35-14.
This could be just the opening salvo between Corner Canyon and Lone Peak as a rematch could materialize in the Class 6A state playoffs.

The Gaels are coming off a big win over Illinois No. 1 East St. Louis. Hawaii commit Eugenio has thrown for 14 touchdowns and 1,044 yards this season. Mater Dei fell for the first time since 2023 last week against Centennial. Dixon-Wyatt and Henry Jr., who are both committed as wide receivers to Ohio State, helped Mater Dei erase a 28-point deficit before the Monarchs fell.
